trish-manager.jpgBundy is certainly thriving, though not everyone knows about the positive things happening.  When you check out all the great things happening in our region, as well as the projects and developments planned, we think you’ll agree that Bundy is certainly Alive!

The team here at Hitz 939 would like everyone to know all these great things and why we should all be confident and proud of living here.  And, of course, we should all support our local businesses.

Be listening on air for lots of positive news stories from our Mayor and top local businesses. And we’ll be adding to this page on a continual basis.

We’re also having a Bundy’s Alive seminar for local businesses on 3rd May at the TAFE Theatre, where Business Bundaberg consultant Neil McPhillips will show us just how many great projects and initiatives are happening and planned right around the region. Let us know if you’d like to come along.

Confidence is contagious – let’s all get behind Bundy’s Alive!

A Message from Mayor Jack Dempsey

Today I want to talk about the $10.7 million just granted to Council by the State Government and what this means for employers, employees and all residents across the Bundaberg Region.

(A message from the Mayor - Feb 10 - 2017)

This money will be poured into local projects to continue the incredible momentum we are currently experiencing.

No one can deny that there is a real buzz around the Bundaberg region.

Council, through its enticing Open for Development initiative is providing that essential element of confidence that investors require.

Our region is leading the State in commercial and industrial construction.

The reporting period to October last year saw $144 million invested in new commercial and industrial buildings. This is an increase of more than 70% over the previous year.

Impressive statistics aren’t they?

But how are they translating into jobs and economic benefit for the Bundaberg Region?

A new 5 million dollar backpacker accommodation in Gin Gin, new 210 million dollar Solar Farm for Childers and the massive investment by Stockland, Knauf and Council have been a few of the drivers which are achieving this Council’s aim of Building a Better Bundaberg Region.
