On Monday May 13, a man threw a phone and threatened staff at a centre at around 2:00PM.

He is then alleged to have set fire to a cane field on Rankin Road causing $10,000 worth of crop destruction, before breaking into a neighbouring house where he was arrested.

A 32-year-old man has been charged with eight offences including setting fire to crops, burglary, common assault, public nuisance, wilful damage of a police vehicle, assault police and obstruct police.

He has been remanded in custody and will appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Thursday, June 27.
