Ergon Energy has welcomed 102 new apprentices to depots across regional Queensland in 2020.

This includes nine apprentices who undertook their initial training in Maryborough before heading to their home depots in Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Bundaberg, Kilkivan and Mundubbera.

Among them are Zach Wolff, Riley Larson, Callum Evans, Abby Joyce (Bundaberg), Matt Bailey, Tyler Simpson (Maryborough), Liam Brauer (Kilkivan), Tarliya Baxter (Munduberra) and Kelly Menton (Hervey Bay).

These apprentices will eventually be among the crews who keep the lights on, often working in challenging conditions to restore power after storms and severe weather events.

An Ergon Energy apprenticeship is more than a 9-to-5, Monday-to-Friday job – it’s a commitment to the community and the start of a career.
