Promise of flashing school signs for Bundy

The LNP has promised to commit $1.9 million to install flashing lights at 17 schools across Bundaberg, if the party wins the next state election.

Speaking in town on Monday, opposition leader Deb Frecklington said she aimed to create certainty for drivers, as well as keeping our kids safe.

"Right here at Central State School there are no flashing lights and we need to keep these kids safe," she said.

"Anyone that drives knows that when they see the flashing lights, it's a great indicator for people to slow down".

The flashing signs would be installed at thirty-two locations, outside 17 schools across the electorate.
