With the busy school holidays underway, there are renewed calls to stay safe on Bundaberg roads.

The Queensland Police Service have launched their state-wide road safety operation aiming to stop lives lost and serious traffic crashes, improving road safety over the busy school holiday period.

Bundaberg Police recorded 782 roadside breath tests (RBT) and issued 65 infringement notices over the weekend of the 20th and 21st of June, with a large number of them attributed to speeding, unregistered vehicles and not wearing seatbelts.

Bundaberg Police said three drivers were also issued with notice to appears in court for allegedly driving with an illicit drug in their system and one driver for driving whilst unlicensed.
