A Bundaberg farmer has expressed concern over the Federal Governments push to reform the gas market as part of its JobMaker plan.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced the plan on Wednesday, which he said would involved resetting our east coast gas market by "unlocking additional gas to drive recovery".
Lock the Gate Alliance have expressed concern that more drilling would lead to destruction of more farmland.
Childers farmer Judy Plath said it will put thousands of hectares of farmland and water resources at threat.
"All over the world, investors are pulling out of the gas sector ... yet out government seems to be willing to sacrifice farm land and water supplies to help an unviable industry expand," Ms Plath said.
"And without clean water and clean soils, we can't supply clean green food for our country but also for the rest of the world."
