Charges laid over alleged Walkervale stabbing


A Bundaberg West man has been charged after an alleged stabbing incident in Walkervale.

Queensland Ambulance rushed to Barolin Street around 4:30pm on Wednesday, where a patient was suffering from an abdominal wound.

A Queensland Police statement said it is alleged a man entered a dwelling "armed with a knife and attacked a 49-year-old man".

"He suffered a stab wound to the abdomen and was taken to the Bundaberg Hospital for treatment," the statement said.

A 35-year-old man has been charged with enter dwelling with intent to commit an indictable offence, whilst armed and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

He is due to appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court today.
