The trans-Tasman bubble has been dubbed as a 'huge win' for Bundaberg tourism operators.
From April 19, New Zealanders can travel to Australia without having to stay in hotel quarantine.
Australians will also be allowed to travel across the ditch quarantine-free, and an exemption to leave Australia is not required for those travelling to New Zealand.
Katherine Reid from Bundaberg Tourism says tourism operators are hoping to take advantage of the significant 'pent-up' demand of Kiwis looking for an Aussie getaway.
"New Zealand is one of our biggest markets so we definitely will be looking to strengthening those relationships with New Zealand," Ms Reid says.
Australian accommodation platform Woftif has also ranked Bundaberg a top trending region to visit, with interest rising 410 per cent.
Ms Reid says the news is fantastic, going hand in hand with the recent trans-Tasman bubble.
"We know that a lot of our tourism industry really work hard to ensure that they have their products listed across online travel agency platforms like Wotif, so it's great to see that they've got the bookings coming through."
