Third man charged over death of Craignish Country Club owner

A third man has been charged with murder following the death of Craignish Country Club owner Gregory Harding.

The golf club owner was discovered dead on Pialba Burrum Heads Road in the small Fraser Coast town, on August 15.

Police believe he was killed during an altercation that happened between 10pm and 11pm that night
Two men, from Loganlea, have already been charged over the 64-year-old's death.

Detectives executed a search warrant at a Warbler Street property, in Crestmead, yesterday. They took a 25-year-old man into custody before charging him with murder.

He is due in a Brisbane court this morning.

Police allege Mr Harding was shot with a gun at close range. They say those involved are also linked to a property crime spree across Hervey Bay before Mr Harding was killed.

The three accused have also been charged with property offences.

Police say they aren’t looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
