Police have charged a 49-year-old man after an alleged double stabbing in Bundaberg yesterday.

It will be alleged that the 49-year-old Bundaberg East man was arguing with a group of people on Mcconville Street when he grabbed a knife and stabbed two men in their fifties before he allegedly punched a 30-year-old pregnant woman in stomach.

All three were taken to Bundaberg base hospital- whilst the alleged offender fled on his bike.

A Queensland Ambulance Spokesperson said one of the men, aged 54 suffered life threatening injuries with severe wounds to his neck. A 51-year-old man also suffered injuries to his ear whilst the 30-year-old woman was transported for observation.

Police have since charged the man with grievous bodily harm and two other serious assault charges.

He is scheduled to appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court this morning.
