WA man accused of ramming women with ute

A man will face court accused of deliberately ramming and injuring two women with his utility outside a West Australian hotel.

Police allege the driver of the Toyota Hilux reversed into the patrons on Throssell Street at Collie, in the state's southwest, just after 11pm on Thursday.

A 23-year-old woman received critical injuries and was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital while her 18-year-old friend was seriously hurt and taken by ambulance to Collie Hospital.

The wall of the pub was extensively damaged.

A 33-year-old Collie man has been charged by detectives with two counts of committing an unlawful act with intent to harm, failing to stop and assist after an incident occasioning bodily harm and failing to report an accident.

He was to appear before Bunbury Magistrates Court on Saturday.
