Meghan Trainor, known for hits like “All About That Bass” and “Made You Look,” recently revealed why she decided to quit coffee, and how it transformed her life. In an interview with People, Trainor, 31, opened up about her health journey, her upcoming Get in Girl tour, and her new album Toy with Me, which drops on 24 April 2026.

The decision to give up coffee came after her husband, Daryl Sabara, had a session with a psychic who warned about her caffeine habits. “The psychic never met me,” Trainor explained. “She told my husband, ‘Your wife is using coffee like speed. She’s non-stop, and it’s not helping her.’ When he told me, I stopped immediately, cold turkey. I realised I was drinking coffee all day to stay steady, but it was making me crash and keeping me wired at night.”

Trainor also shared how the overuse of caffeine, combined with overworking herself, was affecting her health. “I wasn’t feeling great. My hormones were off, my adrenals were shot, and I couldn’t figure out why. I eat healthy and work out, but I still felt terrible. That’s when I realised I needed to make a change.”

While quitting coffee cold turkey wasn’t easy, Meghan says the first week was “tough” but worth it. “It was life-changing. I have more energy now than I ever did with coffee.”

This isn’t the first time the “Still Don’t Care” singer has been open about her health journey. Trainor has previously spoken about her impressive 60-pound weight loss and how a medical diagnosis inspired her to prioritise fitness and overall well-being.

Fans can look forward to hearing more from Meghan Trainor soon as she kicks off her Get in Girl tour in support of Toy with Me. The album is set for release on 24 April 2026, and promises to showcase the star’s evolution as an artist and performer.
