The new trailer for Ghostbusters Afterlife has just dropped and it feels magical. You must watch this trailer for the nostalgia feelings alone!
The original Ghostbusters films were amazing. And for the most part, they can still stand on their own today.
But with a new generation of kids and young adults that may have never experienced the joy (or terror) of the opening librarian scene from the original movie, this new film might be enough for them to dig through the archives.
Ghostbusters Afterlife is based around a single mum and her two kids who come to a small town after inheriting a house and its secrets from their grandfather.
The original director’s son, Jason Reitman, is on board and from what we can see with this trailer, it retains a lot of that original film’s qualities.
The cast looks amazing with Stranger Things actor Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon (The Leftovers) and Paul Rudd (too many comedies to mention).
You may notice the Taxi Ghost, Slimer, the original in movie TV ads for their ghostbusters service, and Janine Melnitz (the receptionist from the original film).
And not to spoil the end of the trailer, but it sounds like another cast member is on board from the original films.
