Conchata Ferrell, who is best known for her role as Berta on Two And A Half Men has passed away aged 77.

The actress died "as a result of complications following a cardiac arrest", on October 12 Deadline reported.

Ferrell will be fondly remembered by many for her role in Charlie Sheen's sitcom Two And A Half Men. Playing Berta the no-nonsense housekeeper from 2003 to 2015 which earned her two Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series Emmy nominations in 2005 and 2007.

Her Two And A Half Men co-stars Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer took to Twitter to pay tribute to their loveable Housekeeper.

According to Deadline, Ferrell a veteran actress had been "moved into a long-term care facility several months ago after suffering cardiac arrest."

During her acting career, Ferrell also starred in over 100 films and television shows. Her most notable roles were in Mystic Pizza, Edward Scissorhands, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and L.A Law. She also had a leading role in the 1979 film Heartland

Conchata Ferrell is survived by her husband Arnie Anderson and daughter Samantha.
