Since I was a little girl, the tradition with the Christmas Tree in my family was up on December 1, and down on December 31. I can't remember a year where the tree was up before December 1. I would hate to think what would have happened if we broke tradition.. maybe Santa wouldn't visit or I would step on some lego. Who knows. But this year, my family has had a bit of a rough trot of late and could do with some happy times. So I was thinking about putting the tree up a little early and breaking tradition, to spread a little Chrissie cheer early. Is it really that big of a deal? What's the worst that could possibly happen? And then, once I've broken tradition this year, am I setting myself up to not get back on the December 1 bandwagon next year? First world problems, I know. Have you ever temporarily broken tradition?
