Transport operator Kinetic is offering grants of up to $10,000 to local organisations across the Bundaberg region.
It’s part of the Moving Communities Fund, to help groups provide their services.
Regional executive general manager Marcia Shield said their drivers often tell the company about the great work these groups are doing in the community.
“The Moving Communities Fund is our way of backing these grassroots efforts with practical support that helps them achieve even more,” Ms Shield said.
In addition to the funds, Kinetic will also provide in-kind support like free travel, volunteer time or promotional space.
Bundaberg’s Special Olympics athletes were a recent beneficiary of the grants – Kinetic helping them with transport costs to events right across Queensland.
