The restoration of Paradise Dam has been declared as a coordinated project by the Queensland Coordinator-General.
It means a streamlined approval and consultation process, according to the State Government.
Coordinator-General Gerard Coggan said his office will continue to work with Sunwater and other key stakeholders associated with the project as it progresses further.
“(The office) is working closely with the proponent, communities of North Burnett and Bundaberg councils, and stakeholders to facilitate projects and foster strong partnerships between government agencies, stakeholders, and the community through the approvals process,” Mr Coggan said.
The Member for Burnett, Stephen Bennett, says the project remains a priority for the State Government.
