Bundaberg’s emergency services have practiced response procedures when attending to an emergency situation.
A simulated multi-car and pedestrian crash was conducted at the Bundaberg Showgrounds earlier this week, testing the capabilities of fire, ambulance, and police – along with LifeFlight, Royal Flying Doctor Service, and the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service.
Queensland Police Wide Bay District Officer Superintendent Anne Volger said the exercise also looked at interagency communication.
“Though we’re confident in our current standard of response, these exercises are vital in ensuring we’re continuously improving, both internally and in partnership with each other,” Supt Volger said.
