Bundy Equi-Ganza: an equine extravaganza comes to Bundaberg

Horse lovers, saddle up!  The inaugural Bundy Equi-Ganza is set to gallop into Bundaberg on Sunday, 17 August 2025, delivering a one-day equine extravaganza like no other.

Inspired by the spirit of Equitana, Bundy Equi-Ganza is being brought to life by Bundaberg & District Extreme Cowboy Racing Inc, with the aim of uniting Queensland’s vibrant equine community for a full day of education, entertainment, and celebration of all things “horsey.”

Running from 8:00am to 4:00pm, the event aims to bring together horse clubs, trainers, clinicians, equestrian businesses, and horse enthusiasts from across the region in a collaborative and inclusive showcase – the first of its kind in Bundaberg.

“This is the first event of its kind in Bundaberg,” says Rachel Aitken, President of Bundaberg & District Extreme Cowboy Racing Inc. “We’re inviting everyone involved in the horse world – whether you ride, run a club, sell gear, or simply love horses – to be a part of it.  Equi-Ganza is a unique opportunity for the local and wider horse community to come together, share knowledge, demonstrate skills, and connect with others who are just as passionate about the equine lifestyle.”

The Club is currently seeking Expressions of Interest from:

• Horse clubs to promote their sport or activities
• Riders and trainers to perform demonstrations
• Clinicians to host horse-related “Mini-Master Class” education sessions
• Equine-related businesses to showcase and sell products
• Individuals to sell their used horse tack and related items at the Market Stall

• Donations of items for the Silent Auction (These do not need to be horse related)
• Food vendors and entertainers to create a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere

The event promises to be a family-friendly day out and a chance for the community to connect, learn, and experience the richness of the equine lifestyle.
