Lighthouse Run 2026

Celebrate the iconic Burnett Heads Lighthouse with a race that honours both the old and new structures. The Lighthouse Run 2026 offers a unique coastal running experience, combining scenic views with a strong sense of community.

Sponsors for the 2026 Lighthouse Running Festival include Club Bargara (Bargara Golf Club) and Gladstone Ports Corporation, custodians of the Burnett Heads Lighthouse.

Participants will run along the picturesque Bargara oceanfront, following the Turtle Trail past the Surf Lifesaving Club, Nielson Beach, and through the Mon Repos Turtle Reserve for the longer distances. This area is well known as a nesting ground for turtles and provides a stunning natural backdrop for the event.

Race Distances
There are multiple distances available to suit all fitness levels. Options include the Full Marathon (42.2km), Half Marathon (21.1km), 16km Trail Run which starts and finishes on paths and includes trails through Barolin Nature Reserve, 8km Run/Walk, and the Junior Dash with 2km and 4km options.

Event Singlets
Event singlets can be purchased during registration for $20, which is below cost. Alternatively, they will be available for $40 at pack pickup or on race day.
