The Bundaberg Base Hospital Paediatric Ward will be participating in Talk Like a Pirate Day on Saturday the 19th of September, raising funds for Childhood Cancer Support and the incredible work they do for regional families facing paediatric oncology treatment.

Childhood Cancer Support provides families with free short-term and long-term accommodation, fully equipped with everything they need during an incredibly difficult time, along with food, transport assistance, and counselling services. Funds raised will also help support the development of a new accommodation village close to the hospital, allowing even more regional families to access the care and support they need.

This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and show support for families doing it tough. If you’re unable to make a monetary donation, gifts or raffle prizes are just as greatly appreciated, every contribution, big or small, helps make a difference, and a little community spirit truly goes a long way.
