Two male patients have suffered smoke inhalation after the veranda of a home caught alight in Bundaberg East.
Two fire crews were called to the scene on Eastgate Street at around 9.50pm yesterday.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Spokesperson says the veranda of a single-storey timber house had caught alight and spread to the back wall.

The blaze was put out by 11.00pm.
The two patients declined transport to hospital.
