A boost for future local art projects in the Bundaberg region with more than $100,000 in funding available.

The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) provides funding for projects that celebrate and promote the development of local arts, with Bundaberg Regional Council recently approving grants for four projects.

Council’s Arts and Heritage portfolio spokesperson Councillor John Learmonth says the current RADF funding round is still open for further applications.

“Council has a total funding pool of $104,500 this financial year to dedicate to supporting projects led by local artists and community organisations.

“The current funding round is open, so I’d encourage anyone planning a creative project for next year to look at the RADF guidelines to check their eligibility and
consider applying.

“Larger projects can apply through the Open Round, closing December 31, while Quick Response grants of up to $2,000 are available each month.

“Council’s Community Arts Development Officer can assist with the application process and guide new applicants through the documentation required.”

Bundaberg Regional Council is also holding activities to celebrate creativity and collaboration within the region’s arts community, which will open with a networking event on Tuesday November 25.
