CEO of Bundaberg Fruit and Vegetable Growers, Bree Watson, has been chosen as the LNP’s candidate for the seat of Bundaberg in 2024.

Ms Watson said she was keen to engage with the Bundaberg community, listen to local residents and work with the LNP team to address their concerns.

‘‘After years of fighting for answers from the Palaszcuzk Labor Government on their mismanagement of Paradise Dam, I know how hard it is for locals to feel that their concerns are being heard, and addressed,” Ms Watson said.

‘‘This tired Labor government has stopped listening to Queenslanders and we need real change to see Bundaberg thrive.

‘‘We need a government that’s not afraid to tackle youth crime. We need action to address the cost-of-living crisis, we need a health and hospital system we can truly rely on, we need to and make housing more affordable and accessible.

“I’m proud to join David Crisafulli and the LNP team to work on delivering the change we need for all of Queensland.”

LNP Leader David Crisafulli said Ms Watson would be working hard to earn Bundaberg’s trust.

“I’ve seen over many years the strength and resilience of the Bundaberg community,” Mr Crisafulli said.

“Bree has a long track record of community service and locals deserve to have one of their own focused on working hard for them.

“We know we are the underdog at the next election but there is a growing mood for change in Queensland from a tired third term government consumed with chaos and crisis of its own making.

“My team and I look forward to working with Bree to earn her community’s trust and prove the LNP is ready to govern.

“The LNP team is united, and we are focused on delivering for Queenslanders. We will show there is a better way for our state.”
