Police are investigating after a woman was injured in a wounding incident at a Walkervale shop.
It’s alleged two men entered a store on Walker Street around 8.20pm on Sunday night, creating a disturbance.
A 24-year-old woman in the store at the time attempted to move out of the way, when she sustained a puncture wound to her shoulder from one of the men who was armed with a knife.
Police say the man then ran out of the store.
A witness who attempted to follow the man was threatened with the knife, before the man drove off.
The woman was taken to Bundaberg hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A crime scene was declared and a 51-year-old man has been taken into custody.
No charges have yet been laid.
Investigations are ongoing and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
