Nine people arrested in Bundaberg police operation

Nine people have been arrested as part of a police crack down on crime in the Bundaberg CBD and surrounding areas.

The offenders have been charged with a total of 22 offences, including eight counts of stealing, nine drug-related offences, two counts of wilful damage, one count of assault occasioning bodily harm, one count of obstructing police, and one count of breach of bail.

Operation Xray Koa has been sparked by recent community concerns about anti-social behaviour and property crime.

Officers from across the Wide Bay Burnett District are working together to maintain a visible presence, prevent offending, and support community confidence.

Police continue to conduct foot patrols and wanding operations within the CBD and surrounding areas as the operation remains ongoing.

Residents are encouraged to report any anti-social behaviour to report it to police.
