Bundaberg’s Safe Night Precinct is launching a new campaign to raise awareness of drink spiking.
Members of the group, along with venue security and staff donning pink hats – while giving out foil drink toppers to prevent instances of spiking.
Precinct chairperson Lloyd Finnis said while it’s not common in Bundaberg, it’s still a serious issue.

“The outcome can be devastating,” Mr Finnis said.
“We hope the bright pink hats will be a reminder for patrons to watch over their drinks, and their mates.”
Anyone who suspects their, or someone they know’s drink has been tampered with to report it to police.
