Surf Life Saving Queensland is urging beachgoers to prioritise safety this weekend, with Queensland set to experience another warm weekend.

We’re being reminded that the best beaches are patrolled beaches, such as Kellys Beach in Bargara.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology it will be sunny tomorrow in Bundaberg with tops of 30 degrees.

Meanwhile on Sunday, there’s a chance of showers and it will reach a top of 32 degrees.

SLSQ General Manager Public Safety and Emergency Management Matt Thompson says lifesavers across the state were preparing for another busy weekend in the surf.

“It’s fantastic to see so many people embracing the warmer weather — but we want everyone to make it home safely.

“Our lifesavers have already been kept extremely busy this season, and many people are still choosing to enter the water outside patrolled areas.

“Even confident and experienced swimmers can underestimate surf conditions.

“Conditions can change at a moment’s notice, and no one is immune.

“The safest place to swim will always be between the red and yellow flags where our lifesavers are watching.”
