Bundaberg Regional Council and the State Government are committing to deliver a 20-year plan developing transport networks across the region.
Community feedback suggests 92 percent of those surveyed support the Integrated Transport Strategy, which aims to improve transport infrastructure.
It includes projects such as the CBD revitalisation, Riverside Master Plan, and developing access to the new Bundaberg Hospital.
Mayor Helen Blackburn said the Council has listened to the feedback from residents.
“The Bundaberg Integrated Transport Strategy is a reflection of our commitment to enhancing mobility, improving safety, and supporting economic growth,” she said.

While the Member for Burnett, Stephen Bennett, said it’s an example of a positive partnership between state and local governments.
“The Bundaberg Integrated Transport Strategy will unlock economic opportunities for the region, improve safety, enhance quality of life, and enable the seamless movement of people and goods,” he said.
