A 16 year old boy has been charged with wilful damaged, accused of lighting curtains on fire inside an Avenell Heights home.
Emergency services were called to the McCarthy Road home around 9pm Monday finding the blaze had already been put out in one of the bedrooms.
A woman in her 50s was taken to Bundaberg Hospital with smoke inhalation.
