Two people have been charged and one firefighting vehicle recovered after a reported theft from a Winfield fire brigade.
Police say they attended a property in Horse Camp on July 17 to make enquiries about a traffic crash that happened the night before.
It was then that officers located one of the alleged stolen vehicles, a white Mazda BT50 – now damaged – along with other items of property police also allege were stolen from the brigade.
A 28-year-old Svensson Heights man was charged with two counts of receiving tainted property, unlawful use of motor vehicle, stealing, and driving of motor vehicle without a driver licence.
He faced the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on July 18.
While a 28-year-old Avenell Heights woman was charged with one count each of receiving tainted property and entering premises and committing an indictable offence by break.
She’s scheduled to appear at the magistrates court on August 4.
Police are still searching for a yellow Nissan Patrol that was taken from the fire station – along with other items such as radios, computers and tools.
Anyone with information or has seen the yellow vehicle recently is urged to contact Bundaberg Police.
