Officers from the Bundaberg Highway Patrol have charged two men over alleged drunk and drug driving offences in Bundaberg.
A 51-year-old man was stopped for an RBT in Bundaberg Central at 7.45am on Monday, where he recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 0.146 per cent, approximately 2.9 times the legal limit.
He’s been charged with one count of drink driving and is due to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on December 11.
Meantime, police say a 55-year-old Rockhampton man was caught driving 100km/h in an 80km/h zone at around 6.00pm on Tuesday in Booyal.
He was stopped for an RBT where he returned a positive result for methylamphetamine.
He has been charged with one count of drug driving and is due to appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on 9 January 2026.
He has also been issued a Traffic Infringement Notice for exceeding the speed limit by 20km/h, which carries three demerit points and a $500 fine.
