Matty

After studying at AFTRS in Sydney Matty made his way down the Hume Highway to the home of the Big Marino for his first job in radio! In that first year, Matty was nominated as Best Newcomer On-Air at the Commercial Radio Awards. ​

From there Matty’s Southern journey continued to Victoria for his first breakfast radio gig, a move that earned him a promotion and a move to Hobart. ​

After taking some time away from radio Matthew headed to SA for a few years earning a nomination for Best On-Air team. ​

A promotion to Bundaberg followed this time in South Australia where Matty is one-half of the undefeated (in radio survey wins) Matty and Trace breakfast show.

Trace

Trace has lived in Bundaberg for 27 years and started working for Hitz 939 as their receptionist in 2007. From there she moved into Traffic and Sales and after 3 years was asked if she wanted a shot at breakfast radio. With no radio training whatsoever it was a big risk. ​

​That was 10 years ago and as they say, the rest is history. ​

Trace loves the Bundy region and on weekends you will often find her relaxing on the beach at Bargara, walking her dog at Elliott Heads, feeding the ducks with her grandson at the Botanical Gardens or catching up with friends for coffee at one of Bundy’s fantastic cafes. ​
