Time to grab the pitchforks and torches everyone
Master of the screen Guillermo del Toro is coming to Netflix with his next film Frankenstein. Yep, the very Frankenstein that you think too, the story of Victor Frankenstein and his creation of Adam turned abomination. The new show will feature a gothic, fantasy retelling of the classic horrors tory we all know and love. But this time we have Oscar Isaac, who doesn’t love Oscar Isaac. Isaac will be playing the titular role of Victor Frankenstein himself as he tried to breed life into his monster, played by Jacob Elordi. You can catch the first trailer below!
Alongside Oscar Isaac and Jacob Elordi in this visual feast for the eyes is Mia Goth, Ralph Ineson, Christoph Waltz, Charles Dance, Lars Mikkelson and David Bradley. The current logline for the film reads:
A brilliant but egotistical scientist brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation.
Del Toro has been known for his talent and vision when coming to his writing and directing and this film looks to be no differemt. Taking on an almost lovecraftian feel in its approach to tell this new take on the monster horror.
You can catch Frankenstein when it drops on Netflix later this year in November.
