Australia’s favourite alternative music festival is back, and after weeks of speculation, Good Things Festival 2026 has finally delivered the goods.
Leading this year’s lineup is none other than nu-metal juggernaut Limp Bizkit, returning to Australia for a headline slot after helping tear the roof off the festival in 2023. Joining them at the top of the bill are pop-punk icons Simple Plan, modern metal stars Spiritbox, Aussie heavyweights Polaris, and long-awaited returnees The All-American Rejects, who were forced to cancel their 2025 appearance at the last minute.
The festival will once again travel across Australia’s east coast, kicking off at Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse on Friday, December 4, before heading to Sydney Showground on Saturday, December 5, and wrapping up at Brisbane Showgrounds on Sunday, December 6. All events will be 16+.
The 2026 lineup is stacked with nostalgia, special performances and farewell shows. Punk legends Bad Religion will celebrate their 45+1 Anniversary, while Canadian post-hardcore favourites Alexisonfire will perform their acclaimed album Crisis in full. Swedish skate-punk heroes Millencolin are bringing a full performance of Pennybridge Pioneers, and industrial veterans Ministry will make their final Australian appearance as part of their “Farewell Australia” run.

One of the biggest wins for Australian fans is the strong homegrown presence woven throughout the 2026 lineup. Leading the local charge are ARIA-winning rock veterans Grinspoon, who continue to prove why they’re one of the country’s most enduring live acts, alongside metalcore favourites Polaris, whose international rise has made them one of Australia’s biggest heavy music exports. They’ll be joined by fast-rising hardcore outfit SPEED, beloved indie-punk band Slowly Slowly, Melbourne heavy hitters Headwreck, and emerging local talents including ivri, Kami Kehoe and Locked Shut.
In a festival often dominated by international names, the impressive Australian contingent highlights just how influential the local alternative scene has become, giving fans the chance to celebrate homegrown talent on the same stages as some of the biggest acts in rock and metal.
