A 35-year-old man has been charged with 15 property crime offences allegedly committed across the Wide Bay area.
Police say the Burrum Heads man was involved in several break and enters and vehicle thefts in the region in April and May.
Between midnight and 5.00am on Friday, May 22, the offender allegedly broke into a commercial property on Bruce Highway, Maryborough West and stole a white Toyota Hilux utility, driving it to Howard where he broke into a council property on Steley Street and allegedly stole a white Ford Ranger utility.
He allegedly drove the Ranger north from Howard and at 1.20pm, it collided with a police vehicle on Palomino Drive, Branyan on the outskirts of Bundaberg.
The officers were not injured and the police vehicle sustained minor damage.
The Ranger returned southbound on the Bruce Highway and at 3.00pm, police were able to successfully deploy a tyre deflation device at Aldershot.
The man fled the vehicle before allegedly gaining entry to a locked yard of a business on Industrial Avenue, Maryborough West and stealing a white Fuso light truck.
The truck was driven through Maryborough before being tracked by POLAIR to a private property on Flindersia Road, Saint Marys where it collided with a tree.
The man ran from the vehicle and was apprehended by police.
The man was arrested and charged with 10 counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence by break, two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle in company and one count each of stealing of a vehicle, unlawful possession of suspected stolen property and obstruct police.
The man has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear in Maryborough Magistrates Court on 26 May.
Investigations are ongoing and the man is likely to be charged with further offences.
