Bundaberg police are investigating a parcel theft from a home at Avoca.

It’s alleged at around 2.20pm on May 25 a man approached the front door of a Mott Street property – where a parcel had been left – and rang the doorbell multiple times, before walking off with the parcel.

Police have released images of a man they would like to speak to as part of the investigation.

Anyone who may know the man or who has relevant information is urged to contact police.

Bundaberg Patrol Group Chief Inspector Grant Marcus is encouraging residents to consider installing security cameras at their properties to deter would-be thieves and help police to investigate suspicious activity.

“Parcel theft is an opportunistic offence and occurs on a consistent basis.

“Residents can also utilise tamper proof padlocks on mailboxes.

If you are a victim of parcel theft or see anything suspicious, report it to police immediately.”
